Great documentary on a successfully thriving community of black owned businesses, products, protection systems, resources, etc. The massacre and destruction came on May 31st 1921, 99 years ago in the area of Greenwood in Tulsa, OK. This community was completely destroyed and burned to the ground by a massive mob of angry white rioters, over an unproven, alleged accusation between a young black man and a female white elevator attendant. Several innocent people were murdered, left homeless, and wrongfully incarcerated, violating several citizen rights over an unproven accusation.
This was when we had power, ownership, and gaining great economic advantages!!! The Tulsa Riots, along with a successful black wall street, have been swept under the rug and hidden for almost a century. These subjects are not taught in schools across America, unless you have a teacher that educates outside the box. Hiding these truths, is another attempt by oppressive America in to erase our positives as black people, erase or hide hateful group’s negative actions, and any references of success we have as an ethnic group! #BlackoutDay2020 #BlackWallStreet #HiddenKnowledge
